Spiritual Growth Ministry

2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Spiritual Growth Ministry involves the administration and coordination of programs or strategies to facilitate the spiritual growth or discipleship of believers into Christ-likeness.

I Peter 2:2As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.

Spiritual growth includes:

  1. Increasing one’s knowledge and understanding of God’s Word,
  2. Decreasing one’s frequency and severity of sin,
  3. Increasing the practice of Christ-like qualities, and
  4. Increasing one’s faith and trust in God.

Spiritual growth is becoming more like Jesus Christ. In 1 Corinthians 11:1, Paul says, “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.” Jesus Christ is the ultimate example of what it truly means to be spiritual.

Ushers Ministry

Psalms 84:10For a day in thy courts [is] better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Ushers at “The Mount” greet members and guests as they arrive at the church and walk into the sanctuary for church service, and/or funerals. It is the ushers’ responsibility to ensure that worship services are orderly by determining when people enter the sanctuary, directing people to seats, providing guidance to worshippers during the offertory period, and minimizing people walking about during service. Ushers assist worshippers, as needed, to be comfortable and to have the necessary tools such as offering envelopes, fans, and directions to children’s church and other church facilities.
